Airtable Attachments: Expiration and Caching Considerations
Airtable Attachments: Expiration and Caching Considerations
At a glance
The community member is curious why Samuel Gregory needs to download Airtable attachments due to them expiring, as they believe the fetch to Airtable happens in real-time, so the latest attachment URL should be available. They suggest this may depend on cache headers and whether the community member wants other services to use the static images.
In the comments, one community member says they don't like the video because the title says "WebStudio", while another community member says they just finished the video and thought it was great.
@Samuel Gregory watching your video (liking it!) and noticed you said you need to download airtable attachments due to them expiring. Curious why you can't rely on the attachments even though they expire? My thinking is that the fetch to airtable happens in real time so theoretically you are always getting the latest attachment url. I suppose this depends on the cache headers and whether or not you want Google or other services to use those images in which case you'd want them to be static.
