what specifically didn't work there?
No like the shortcuts to open components/navigator
It works, but because it is another layout it it uses the 2 first buttons of the row
and I regularly need to switch between keyboard layouts
And than it is hard to switch again to the other layout
And it will prevent I think future shortcuts to be at different (maybe illogical) locations because your different keyboard layout
and then most of them will already be used to their different layout because they had no choice
and than it would be hard to still change the configuration
PLease try to help by answering my question: what doesn't work?
@Oleg Isonen I think physically different keys prevents using mechanical memory
I know that but I asked if cmd+z works for example and he says yes
maybe he doens't understand my question
I mean if cmd+z for example works the way it has to work on azerty
because I don't know what's expected on azerty for example for undo/redo
its been a decade for me since I used azerty
are we supposed to add "Y" as an alternative for azerty?
so undo will be cmd/ctrl + Y
afaik there is no way to detect this, so we can't even show the right shortcut hint for azerty, it will still show the current one and alternative would have to be guessed by the user
webflow doesn't seem to do this either
what's the industry expectation here?
Cntrl+Z and Cntrl+Shift+Z
cntrl/Y isn't really used, it mostly only on microsoft products
doesn't look like webflow is doing this
I've never used webflow myself
But other product like Adobe and Figma
what software in general supports this that runs in the browser?
any example in particular I can test?
I think, but I don't know if it detect it automatically
I don't see this happening in figma, tried some
would be a total mess to do this automatically
I forgot about the webversion, I use the App mostly
for now I will say no to this request, we have more important features to focus on, but some day maybe.
