Best way to upload 1000s of images

At a glance
The community member is creating a database and needs to upload thousands of images, but the normal uploader is not working. The comments suggest that using a Content Management System (CMS) would be a better approach than the webstudio tool, as it is more suitable for managing large amounts of content. Some community members also recommend coupling the webstudio frontend with a "headless" CMS for large projects. However, there is no explicitly marked answer in the post and comments.
I am creating a database and I need to upload 1000s of images. What is the best way to do this? When I try the normal uploader it just doesn't do anything

And is there a limit to how many I can upload at a time?
Why not put them in the database you are creating?
What you want to do is to use a CMS, webstudio is not for this use case.
Webstudio is a development tool, content that is not static belongs into CMS, hope that makes sense to you.
Messes up file names. But true, will look elsewhere
Would it make sense to build the frontend in webstudio and couple it with a "headless" cms?
that's exactly how webstudio is used when it comes to large projects
