Blog post content.

At a glance

The community members discuss the source of blog post content in the WebStudio platform. The consensus is that the blog posts are fetched from a CMS, not created directly within the WebStudio editor. If the user only needs a few posts, they can create them on duplicated static pages for now and add a CMS when they need to scale. However, this approach requires managing links across the site, which may not be ideal for more than a couple of pages. If the user decides to integrate a CMS, the community members suggest that Zenblog's integration is the easiest option for a simple blog.

Good morning guys!

I am learning WebStudio using the FinanceFlow template, which includes a blog.

My question is: Is the blog post content fetched from a CMS, or is it created directly within the WebStudio editor?

If it’s created in the editor, and since I haven’t yet purchased the WebStudio membership that allows me to connect a CMS, can I create a post directly in WebStudio? How would I do that?

Thanks a lot guys!

The posts are in a CMS, not in Webstudio. Webstudio is used for layout and styling though.
If you only need a few posts, you can build them on duplicated static pages for now and add CMS when you need to scale
I've done that. It works fine. Just means you have to create and update links across site too. So not ideal for more than a couple pages. If at some point you switch to a CMS, you would want to make sure the urls are the same for search engines, or create redirects.
If you do decide to integrate a CMS - Zenblog's integration is easiest (good for very simple blog)
