Captcha on forms

At a glance

The community member is experiencing an increasing amount of spam submissions on their webstudio form and is looking for a solution, such as adding a captcha. The comments suggest using Cloudflare's Turnstile as an alternative to reCAPTCHA, which is a privacy-safe option. The community members discuss the need to add this component, and one member mentions that they will check out Turnstile this week. Some members also suggest using a contact email to mitigate the spam, but others note that this is not a viable long-term solution, and the Turnstile integration is necessary. The community members also discuss the current situation with captchas and the potential for AI to overcome them, but agree that Turnstile is a good option to explore.

Useful resources
Over the last week, I've been getting an increasing amount of spam submissions on my webstudio form. It would be awesome if we could add a captcha or something to help prevent spam.

we need to add a component for this
Whoop whoop!!
Are you still getting the spam submissions at this time or did you do some manual fix?
we haven't added it yet, so it should be the same
Okay πŸ™ I'll be taking down my website for the time being
Btw did you see we added an option to specify email where the form is being sent to?
you could for the time being specify an email account so they don't spam your personal one
is that a viable workaround?
Every two days two emails, pretty distracting.
I don't see that option no.
Maybe later some baserow/airtable form or something, no idea if that's going to solve it.
I will check out turnstile this week
if easy might be a quick job after all
"contact email"
not an option for him, because its still spam, we need to add turnstile
What's the current situation with captchas etc?
we don't use it because the protection we added removed most of the spam
some spam is unavoidable though, with AI it is technically possible to overcome any recaptcha, its just expensive to them
Yeah I'm sure. I haven't actually used the forms yet. There wasn't a problem, it was just preventative
