Change email of account

At a glance

The post asks if it's possible to change the email associated with an account on the dashboard or via a support request. The comments indicate that the platform only offers sign-in via Google and GitHub, so changing the email is not possible. Community members discuss the pricing tiers, with some requesting an increase in the storage limit for the Tier 2 plan. The community members also discuss the possibility of adding a username/password authentication option or a passwordless email-based authentication, and the new "passkeys" standard is mentioned as a potential solution.

Hi, one questions, it's possible to change email of the account on the dashboard? or via support request?

unfortunately not, because we only offer sign ins via google and github
thanks for the quick reply
Oleg one question, for those who bought tier 2 on the website, will you upgrade to 2m once appsumo deal it's over?
i did it to support the company
i know the appsumo cut is low
will you consider this?
i ask because in the documentation page
it says 2 milion
but on the page itself it still 1m i guess you lowered that while on appsumo

oh thanks for letting us know, fixed the mistake there.
the problem is that tier is cononected to the limits
so to give you 2m limit we would need to create a separate tier
we can't just increase the limits on our T2, because that would affect everyone, not just you
ok glad to help
unlimited is way better anyways
we also removed the T1 because we are not allowed to compete with appsumo, they want to be the cheapest
by the way, @Oleg Isonen will you consider offering username (email)/password authentication for people who are not fun of google and don't want to use github?
or maybe email login with passwordless auth (auth code sent via email) if you don't want to manage passwords
yes we want to go paswordless
there is a new standard - passkeys
its official web standard now supported everywhere
Not familiar with passkeys, but as soon as it doesn't involve sending a secret to a cloud provider I'll be fine with it πŸ˜„
It allows you to store fingerprint on your local devices and can be used in combination with any cloud provider to store those also in the cloud
its baked in now into mobile phones and browsers and is the only viable future
yes very neat, I've just watched a demo of a website using it, user still have control to store the private key in the device of his choice or cloud solutions.
