CMS

At a glance
The community member is planning to build their first Webstudio project and is looking for a simple, free or self-hosted CMS to connect to it. They currently use WordPress but want to explore other options for the backend. They need a basic CMS with the ability to add blog posts and create custom post types as needed by clients. The comments suggest using separate tools like Ghost.org or Zenblog for blogging, and Baserow or Airtable for custom content types. Another community member recommends using Hygraph, which is completely free for one project and has a YouTube video on how to integrate it with Webstudio.
I'm planning to build my first Webstudio project, a small one just to get familiar with the platform. I'm looking for a simple, CMS to connect to Webstudio. I use WordPress to build all my websites however I'd like to explore other options for the backend. I need a very basic free or selfhosted white-label CMS – nothing fancy – just the ability to add a few blog posts and, ideally, create a few different custom post type areas as needed by clients.

I know I can connect to WordPress, and there are CMS finders available. However, all the recommended options are very robust, and I simply don't need that many functions.

Many thanks for all suggestions.

I would use separate tools.

Ghost.org self host or Zenblog cloud for blogging

Something like Baserow or Airtable for custom types for things like team members or other structured content that doesnt rely on rich text, or at least images in rich text
I just used Hygraph for my blog, it is completely free for one project, and Webstudio has a youtube video on how to integrate it.
