Content management systems without graphql or rest apis

At a glance

The community member is inquiring about using certain CMS options (Spinal, DecapCMS, Front Matter, Keystatic) that have rich text API formats but no GraphQL or REST APIs. The comments discuss whether these can be used for dynamic content, with some community members noting that they are more suited for static, git-based content. There is no definitive answer provided, but the discussion suggests that integrating these CMS options with an application may be required to create dynamic content.

Useful resources
I've been reading over the CMS content on the Webstudio website and the CMS finder. There are a few listed on the CMS finder (Spinal, DecapCMS, Front Matter, Keystatic) that don't have either GraphQL or REST APIs; they do have rich text API formats though.

Can these be used to create dynamic content?

huh, why do we have them if they can't be used as headless? @John Siciliano
Technically they don't have a head, right? They are classified on there are git based/static IIRC
Is there a way to connect any of those? I like the idea of git based options.
Not usually... rather the files need to be integrated with the app. Here's more info https://webstudio.is/tools/headless-cms-finder#static-gitfiles
Tina and keystatic get close but IIRC they still require an app
I stopped reading at this point on the web page. I just assumed the footer was next and didn't read past that CTA. πŸ˜›

Thanks for the resource.

yeah... it's kind of hidden there πŸ™‚ I wanted to make sure the CTA was visible asap, but maybe theres another way to show the content isn't hidden such as a smaller cta like a banner
