Create a Project with Cms Connection: Exploring Options

At a glance

The community member has a question about creating a project with CMS connection. They want to know if they need to pay for a pro plan or if there is another way to create a project with data binding or self-host the builder.

The responses from other community members indicate that the pro cloud plan comes with the ability to fetch data server-side, making the site dynamic. They also suggest that the community member can self-host their site and connect it to any CMS for free.

However, the community member is still unsure about how to self-host the builder and use the data connector for CMS, as they couldn't find the instructions in the documentation. The community members suggest that the questions can be answered by the AI and that the information is documented, but they don't provide a clear solution or guide for self-hosting the builder.

Webstudio pro cloud comes with ability to fetch data server-side, so your site becomes dynamic. This is indeed a Pro feature.

You can selfhost your site and connect it to any CMS for free.
so if i self-host the builder can i use the data connector for cms? because i have read the documentation, and i can't find the instructions to self-host the builder.

Or what do you mean when you say “self-host your site and connect it to any CMS for free"
All your questions can most likely get answered by ai, pls try it. We have this all documented
I have read the documentation and ask the ai, so you have no solutions for now like a docker compose to self host the builder on a vps right?

are there any plans to create a guide to install the builder for production and not for development? Ty
did you ask our AI? or external?
