Creating a CMS in Webstudio: Automating Content Management
At a glance
The community members are discussing the possibility of creating a CMS (Content Management System) within Webstudio. The original poster wants to add post-like sections to their website and is wondering if they need to design each page manually or if there is a way to automate the process.
The comments indicate that a CMS is not yet available in Webstudio, but it is on the roadmap. The community members mention that the Webstudio blog currently uses custom pages with reusable tokens, but a CMS would be a better fit if the same elements and structure are required on every blog post.
The community members also mention that Webstudio is planning to introduce a collection manager that can integrate with any CMS, and they are aiming to launch this feature in the next few months. The community members express excitement and anticipation for the upcoming CMS integration.
Additionally, the community members suggest using platforms like Airtable or Duda as inspiration for the CMS integration, as they provide easy-to-use collection management features.
Is there any way to create a CMS in webstudio now? I want to put some post like sections in my website, do I have design every page with different content or we can automate that?
The idea is that we will have a collection manager that can talk to any CMS out there. We will start working on it this month and hopefully in a few month its going to be launched
CMS is going to be huge. I realllyyyyy want to start creating sites with Webstudio, but the biggest thing holding me back is the lack of a CMS. Can't wait!
BTW Airtable would be a sick platform to connect to. Duda has done this too if you want to use them as inspiration. Super easy to create collections of all types such as team members (idk about maintaining a full blog in it though).
