Creating Microsites on the Fly with Airtable, Notion, and Wordpress

At a glance

The community member is exploring using Webstudio's CMS to create "microsites" by integrating Airtable (or Notion) and Wordpress. The workflow they would like is: when new rows are added to the Airtable or Notion database, create new pages using the fields, update the header/nav with links to the new pages, and publish new posts from Wordpress to the Webstudio blog.

The community members discuss that with dynamic routes, new pages don't need to be created, they are dynamically generated based on a parameter/slug. They also confirm that once the CMS is connected, new content from Wordpress is immediately available and doesn't need to be published separately.

The community members confirm that the links in the slug can be set using a field in the Airtable base, and that the header/nav can be dynamically generated from the list of pages.

The community member is also interested in how to copy/paste a Webflow page into Webstudio, but there is no explicitly marked answer to this question.

Hey Webstudio Team! The CMS product looks (potentially) perfect for a use case I'm exploring. I have a question about it (as a marketer who doesn't code):

I'd like to combine the Airtable (or Notion) + Wordpress integrations to create a new"microsites" on the fly.

Specifically, the workflow I'd want is:

  • when N new rows are added to the airtable base or Notion DB > create N new pages using the fields in the base > update header / nav with links to new / primary pages
  • Publish N new posts pulled from wordpress to WS blog

Once you have dynamic routes you don't need to create pages, they are dynamically created depending on a parameter/slug
how does the header nav work in that case?
Publish N new posts pulled from wordpress to WS blog

same, as soon as cms is connected and new contentn published its available immediately, webstudio doesn't need to publish anything
dynamic, you get the pages list you render collection in the nav
can I set the links in the slug using a field in the airtable base?
have you seen our docs and videos? we spent lots of energy demonstrating this stuff, please watch
I've watched a bit. will watch more
Ok. those videos are great. Now How do I actually copy/paste a webflow page into Webstudio? Specifically:

  • where in webflow do I copy the page?
  • where in WS do I paste it?
