Deployment issues with updates not propagating

At a glance

A community member is experiencing issues with their website updates not propagating to their domain or test domain. They have tried various troubleshooting steps, such as clearing the cache and reloading the builder, but the changes are not showing up. The community members discuss possible reasons for the issue, such as publishing changes too quickly or a temporary hiccup. Eventually, the community member is able to get the changes to work by trying a different type of update. They provide the project name and share links to the project and published site, which the other community members use to investigate further. In the end, the issue is resolved and the community member plans to try pushing a text change first if they encounter the problem again.

Are there any issues with deployment today? Suddenly my updates aren't propagating to either my domain or the webstudio test domain for my project.

Can you tell what exactly did you press and what didn't work?
Sure, I updated the links on a few buttons on my site. I clicked Publish, waited for it to finish, then loaded the page in my browser. I cleared the cache and did a shift+reload, but the page loads with the old button links.

I've confirmed that the right links appear when I check the Preview mode in the Webstudio editor (I use the desktop app on Win 11).
is it possible that you changed it and published right away? so the change didn't go through before you published?
That may have happened the first time, but I tried again more than 5 minutes later and I'm still seeing the same issue. Is there a way to check if the change has "gone through" before publishing?
yeah, if you reload builder
but generally its under a second
its very unlikely
now I need to know your project name
ideally shared link and the published site
That's what I'm used to. I just tried changing a text element and that update seems to have gone through, which also propagated the button links
whats some change that you did that doesn't get published?
oh its working now, ok
we don't know anything about it not working
On this page, the "Touch the Purple Gem" link was going to the page's own URL. The new URL is /touch-purple. But yes, it's working now, no worries. I'll try pushing a text change first if I run into this again.
