Design System - Questions and Suggestions - Where to post?

At a glance

A community member has questions and suggestions about building a robust and scalable design system after reading a discussion on Github. They are unsure where to post their feedback - on the Github discussion, in the Suggestions channel, or by creating a new dedicated Design System channel on Discord. The community members discuss the pros and cons of each option, with some suggesting that creating a new channel may not be the best approach, and that a thread in the Suggestions channel could be sufficient. Ultimately, the community members decide to go with a thread in the Suggestions channel for now.

There was a discussion on Github about a Standardized Design System I really enjoyed reading. Now I have a good amount of questions and suggestions about building a robust and scalable design system.

Where should I post it? On Github discussion? Here in Suggestions? I really like discord for it's thread functionality (which I miss on Github). Does it makes sense that we create a new forum/section here on Discord for the design system, thinking about naming conventions etc?

Just circling back on my earlier question about where to share my questions and suggestions for the Design System:
• Would you prefer I start a GitHub Discussion (where the original convo took place)?
• Or post here under “Suggestions” channel?
• Would it be more useful to spin up a dedicated Design System channel here on Discord (complete with threaded discussions for naming conventions, component guidelines, and other strategies?)

I have a handful of ideas around scalability, theming and conventions to allow cross-team collaboration that I’m excited to get your feedback on. What do you all think is the best home for that conversation?

Chat is good for explorative discussions, github issue is good for writing down some actionable items, github discussions is used very little at the moment
Alright, thanks for sharing your workflows
Important to align
if you think you have a concete structured feedback that could be implemented, feel free to create an issue
What do you think about creating a channel here on discord about it? Could be useful to split it since there are only a few who are really into it (like the ones who participated in the original Github convo)
Or just go with Suggestion Channel for now and when it explodes create a new dedicated channel?
Creating more chanels has proven harmful, we tend to want that in the beginning and then can't find anything at all.
Creating a thread on that particular effort for improvements you have in mind should be enough
Alright, will go with that… thanks.
