Discord Channel specific to self-hosting

At a glance

The post asks the Webstudio team about their thoughts on creating a specific channel for self-hosting questions, as there seem to be more of them. The comments discuss this idea, with some community members suggesting that there may not be enough questions yet to warrant a separate channel, and that tags could be a better solution to organize the questions within the existing channels. Other community members express concerns that a new channel may lead to more confusion, as people often ignore the purpose of channels. The community members also discuss the potential goals of creating a separate channel, such as making it easier for users to find existing solutions or to better assist with self-hosting questions. There is no explicitly marked answer in the comments.

It seems like there are starting to many more questions specific to self-hosting. To the Webstudio team, what are your thoughts on making a specific channel for those questions?

Not enough questions yet to make a channel imho
what's the goal? to avoid seeing those questions?
or to be able to help them better?
The idea was to group them in a location so that it would be easier for the user to find if their problem has already been solved.

Personally, I still use AI (other than Hall) to find answers. So I've screenshot chats/channels to assist with specific questions.
idk, I am pretty sure you will still get all the quesitons all over the place and now you will have to tell them there is a special place for it
people ignore channel purpose all the time
more channels usually means even more confusion
maybe tags would help
these actually exist to organize within a channel
No worries, it was just a question to see if you thoughts.
added 2 tags, lets see if that helps
also made it a requiremet to select a tag when posting a question
