Display none shortcut on local element (or something)

A community member, who is a designer, suggests adding a toggle button that applies a "display none" property to selected elements, similar to features in design apps like Figma. Other community members respond that there is an existing "show" toggle in the settings to exclude instances from the tree, and they are planning to add a 👁️ button in the navigator to do the same thing, as it would be a huge convenience factor. I'm a designer and as a designer i rely a lot on the left pannel to identify elements. I would find very intuitive to find a toggle button that apply a display none propriety to the selected local élement. Exactly like you would find on many UI design app such as figma. Simply shown as an eye icon. Is this has been already though?
