Download Webpage to open offline without the need for a local server

At a glance

The community member previously used Webflow to design webpages, where they could simply open the downloaded index.html file without needing a local server. However, with Webstudio, the community member finds that the downloaded page only loads properly when opened on a local or other server. The community member is looking for a way to open the Webstudio-designed page by simply double-clicking the index.html file, without requiring a server, similar to their previous Webflow workflow. There are no comments providing an answer to this request.

Hello, in the past I would design webpages in webflow, then download the code and I could simply 'double-click' on the index.html file and the page I designed would load perfectly without the need for a local host. This was ideal for a work flow in which I would use that index.html file within another app.

In webstudio, however, when I download the page I design, it will only load in an unbroken state if I open it within a local server or some other server. I know this is ideal for preparing the site to be hosted elsewhere and I know my needed workflow is a minority I'm sure. However, if anyone knows of a way either through webstudio or through a third party where I can download my webstudio page and open the index.html file without the need for a server, I would be very grateful; thank you!
