Edit root css with editor

At a glance

The community member finds it difficult to work in the small (narrow) box under the advanced section when editing CSS. They ask if there is a way to connect with an external editor, or if there are plans to expand the box for easier editing, similar to how it is done for editing API calls and variables. An even better suggestion is to have a way to access all CSS variables to customize values visually.

The comments suggest that the community members agree that an "expand" option should be added. They also discuss the idea of accessing all CSS variables visually, and request screenshots to better understand the issue. Some community members mention that browser search functionality and a planned variables search feature (via cmd+k) could help with the editing process.

Is there a way to connect with an external editor, or do you have plans to be able to expand that box for easier editing (like you have for editing api calls, var, etc)? What do you mean?
btw any screenshots you can share how it looks for you where it becomes uncomfortable to edit?
THis would be appreciated, I used a template theme and need to edit some of global root styles. An option to search using ctr +F maybe ?
browser search works btw, even though we are adding variables search to cmd+k search
