A community member is trialing webstudio and struggling to get a contact form with a webhook to work. They are not seeing the form fields (name, email, message) in the email notification, and there is no success message. The community member has watched tutorials but is still unsure of what properties or configurations are needed for the form fields. Other community members provide suggestions, such as checking if the fields have names, sending a share link to the project, and clarifying the difference between the value and name attributes. The community member also asks about connecting a webhook form to a newsletter tool like Audienceful, and a webstudio representative mentions that they have an open issue to enable more granular webhook requests.
All, I am trialing webstudio and struggle to get contact form with webhook to work: I get a notification but the fields don’t show in the email: name, email, message. Also don’t see a success message popping up. Watched the tutorial and am still clueless. Are there any properties or so which I need to configure the form fields with, other than define the expected input type? Any feedback is highly welcome. Thanks
@Oleg Isonen thx for the prompt answer. Webhook as I understood the standard form does not work for a contact form to push out a notification email. Is this what you mean?
I tried to set up a completely new webhook and kept it generic - this works as expected. So what I do is to try again - kind of lost the success and error message in the styled version
Stupid me - sorry for bothering you! By the way - can I connect a webhook form to a newsletter tool? I used Audienceful in the past and like it - is this possible in webstudio similar to Webflow, that email and Name and so on a passed to audienceful.com subscriber list automatically?
You can subscribe on the right if you want to get updates about it. Otherwise, I was just sharing to make note that we have it on our todo list to enable more granular webhook requests
