Google Sheets as a Collection Source

At a glance

The community members discuss using Google Sheets as a data source for a collection. One community member confirms that it is possible, though they don't have a template or video on it yet. Another suggests using GPT to generate a curl call for the Sheets API, which can then be pasted into a resource UI. Other community members provide additional suggestions, such as using a tool called Buildship, which has pre-made nodes for connecting to Google Sheets, making the setup easier. The discussion indicates that there are multiple ways to connect Google Sheets to a collection, but no single definitive answer is provided.

Useful resources
Hi,
Can a Google Sheet be used as a source of data for a collection?
If yes, any clues on how to make the connection?
If no, suggestion!
Thanks in advance.

yes, though we don't have a template or video on it yet
if you are non-technical try using gpt to get a curl call for sheets api
curl can be pasted into webstudio resource ui url
obviously you will need to change your access key
That is solid advice! Thanks for the step in the right direction.
Glad to know Google Sheets can be used. I'll try to get it working as you have indicated.

Also, love the new format of the help section! Gonna be very helpful for everyone. Good Job!
it has premade nodes for sheets afaik, easier to setup, in the end you can copy their configs into webstudio and use it directly with sheets if you want to
I saw watched your video on Buildship. I will have to have another look at it. There are so many ways to move data around that I am trying to find the most universal, while being cost effective.
From first look, BuildShip is a standout regardless of cost. Gonna start a trial now and see if I can get the Google Sheets working while having access to the rest of the ship.
Thanks Oleg.
