Help to creat a new component in my local

At a glance

The community member is using the cloud version of WebStudio and wants to contribute to it. They have set up a local development environment and want to create a new component. Another community member suggests checking the documentation on contributing and submitting pull requests for existing issues. The community member is asking how to create a new component in their local setup. However, the response indicates that the Builder is not yet ready to support custom code components, but this is on the roadmap. The timeline for when this feature will be supported is uncertain, with one community member saying "Next year probably" but with no promises.

Useful resources
Hi I have been using the cloud version of webstudio for sometime now. I would like to contribute into it hence I created a local setup in my pc. I wanted to start with creating a new component. Can anyone help me with where to start. I have went through some of the documentation.

@aj.amal, very cool that you want to contribute! I assume you've read this? https://docs.webstudio.is/contributing/contributing-for-developers

If you are asking how to contribute, make check the git issues and submit pull requests based on those fixes. (not sure if this is what you're asking or not)
Hi @Jeremy, thankyou for responding. I am trying to create a new component on my own. I guess the componets are added as packages as per the attached image. Let me know if I'm wrong. If yes how can I start to create one in my local.

Builder is not ready yet to support custom code components but this is definitely on roadmap
