The community members discuss the roadmap for a platform, specifically the ability to cut and paste elements from Webflow and import HTML/CSS. One community member states that importing HTML/CSS is not on the roadmap as it may not provide great results, but they are open to seeing what another platform (Ycode) is doing in this area. Another community member mentions that a developer has implemented HTML import into other builders, which could be a useful plugin. The discussion explores the potential use cases for importing existing sites, such as migration and prototyping, but some community members express concerns about the practicality and maintenance of such imports. Overall, there is no clear consensus on the value or feasibility of importing HTML/CSS, with some community members seeing it as a potential plugin use case, while others are skeptical about finding a great use case for it.
Hi all - wanted to ask about the roadmap. I believe I read somewhere about cutting and pasting elements from Webflow? With that or the ability to import html and CSS (this is a nice feature of Ycode) and the CMS integration, I'll be ready to move my sites from Webflow
Hey, no exact dates, most likely this year. Import HTML/CSS isn't on the roadmap, simply because it won't give you great results. But I am open to see what ycode is doing there.
It essentially remaps tailwind classes to their structure panel and adjusts some of the classes to be desktop first (vs the default mobile first).
A dev friend of mine (runs a company called DPlugins) has implemented html import into a bunch of other builders too if it can be of any value I can introduce you.
I can see the compell to get some site you already have or copy someone else's ... can be very useful for just migrating without adaptation or for prototyping?
Would be interesting to understand if that's practical to import like and then having to maintain and update the site after such import. I struggle to imagine this would be going great but maybe I am wrong
