A community member is having trouble submitting a form they created using an AI tool in Webstudio. The community members discuss potential solutions, including creating a manual webhook form, copying the styling, and using Google Sheets to handle the form submissions. One community member provides a video tutorial on setting up a form with Webstudio and Make.com. The community members also discuss the limitations of the AI tool and the benefits of using more complex automation tools like Make.com, Zapier, or n8n. Ultimately, the community member is able to get the form working by creating a webhook directly in Google Sheets, which they find to be a simpler and more understandable solution for their needs.
I let the AI make me a form, adjusted a little and it looks fine now. But it's not possible to submit. What can I do, where should I look? (I come from squarespace, know nothing about coding)
@Oleg Isonen Frustrating. Did like you said. Looks fine, but works only with the form fields that are "manually" added. And it needs to be at least 2 baked in formfields apparantly. AI is useless this way. Did I miss a warning for the AI somewhere? It costs hours to find out. Now have to start over again. Where do I find the best manual to learn about the forms?
Hi Elisabeth! AI in Webstudio is in beta right now so sometimes it could not work properly. Don’t worry. What are you trying to do with form and what is the problem? Styling or logic?
Styling is fine, but submitted content isn't sent by mail. Tried a few hours ago the "baked in" form, that gave a result, see screenshot. Do I have to start over with baked in, or could I repair what I have?
Ah, I figured this would be the low maintenace solution. Few hours ago I didn't even know webhooks existed, so I just repeat what information is given to me. In a few weeks I probably don't remember about make.com or zapier or whatever. Thank you so much for helping me!
