The community member is new to Web Studio and is interested in self-hosting the platform. The comments indicate that self-hosting the builder is still a work in progress, with the developers prioritizing other features like SEO and CMS integrations. However, self-hosting the resulting websites using the CLI is already available. The community member is concerned about security and confidentiality, and asks if it's possible to publish sites on the same Docker container as the self-hosted builder. The response suggests that the builder and published site can be hosted on the same machine, but the CLI will still be used to publish the site.
Hi! I'm new here using Web Studio and have already started loving it! While this first site I'm building is just the start, I'm wondering if anyone in the community has self hosted Web Studio platform yet and if they've had much struggle with updates or in the installation process.
Self hosting builder is still something we need to make friendlier. For now we have more priorities like seo and cms integrations. Though self hosting is websites with cli is already available.
For sure, its just I work in the political space and security + confidentiality is huge for my clients and organization. If I were to self host the builder could it be possible to publish sites on the same docker container or would I need to export them and publish them using the CLI on an alternative host?
