How to restore project

At a glance

The community member received a project link from their boss and started experimenting with it, but accidentally closed the window and now cannot restore the original version. They are unable to find any version history or undo functionality. The community members discuss that versioning is not currently available but is on the roadmap. They suggest the community member try to recall what they did or just fix the mistake, but acknowledge this is not an ideal solution. The community members express understanding and a desire to add versioning functionality in the future.

I received a link from my boss to work on some project. Since I am new to the thing I started to play around with all the stuff - without doubt, because I always restore things via command+Z.

Then something happened - either I close my computer or something and now I do not know how to restore it to the very first version, the version I have received from my boss. Now everyone in the team can see just the broken project so please help me out, because it is a really wild mess right now πŸ˜…

is that project using git or the other version controlling tools?
I am using in just in a browser. I cannot find any version history or anything. Super weird.
vesioning is on the roadmap but isn't available yet
I still do not understand - if I do mistake, close the window, and than I want to fix it - it is not possible to reverse it?
no, not possible, just fix your mistake
if you just did it you should be able to recall what you did, but I understand this is not great. Obviously we want to add versioning
Yes, but I was experimenting, so now I do not remember, what was where. I was super counting to the very basic feature - to go back whenever I want..
yeah, undo works until you reload
dont take me wrong, I really appreciate your app and your quick reply, but this is a thing I would like to read before the very first scratch.
+1 for versioning 🀣
We were not hiding it, it's on the roadmap and on the landing roadmap
I don't appreciate the blaming here
In web development, it is a good practice to design everything in other software (Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop) first and then code it accordingly. Even with the most popular tools (WordPress), you can lose everything at any time.
I definitely keep it in mind, thank you.
I apologize for my tone, I was just very disappointed after the initial enthusiasm with the user-friendliness of something that came to me as a matter of course in such a flexible application. I look forward to working with Webstudio and all the improvements.
