The community member's internet connection was temporarily down, and they are still seeing the red cloud icon in the Webstudio app, which caused them to lose some of their work previously. One community member suggests opening the same page in a new tab and copying the entire page wrapper to avoid losing work, but notes this is not an ideal solution.
Another community member states that the red icon should disappear automatically and save changes when the connection is restored. They tested this and found that changes are saved automatically after a while, but the time it takes increases, potentially up to 30 seconds. They suggest reducing this time to around 5 seconds.
My internet connection was down a few minutes, now it's back, but I'm still seeing the red cloud icon in the Webstudio app. I lost some of my work like this yesterday, how do I prevent that this time?
I opened the same page in a new tab and copied the entire page wrapper in there. This way I didn't lose my work this time, so it worked. But it's not ideal.
the red icon should actually disappear automatically and save your changes when you are back online, I will test this now artificially to see if I can reproduce this
It will save it automatically after a while if you don't do any changes, but it takes increasingly more time, so could be like 30 seconds at some point (I think we need to reduce it to maybe 5s)
If you do a change it will sync right away and icon will disappear
