The community member was able to upload raw HTML and CSS code into Webstudio and it looks great. They now want to turn everything into editable elements without having to refer to the code, similar to the functionality in Webflow where they can bring in a Figma file and have it translate to the right elements. The comments indicate that pasting CSS is possible in the advanced panel, but pasting HTML is currently not possible, as per an issue being tracked on GitHub. Another community member suggests copying from Webflow and pasting into Webstudio as a workaround. The original poster is waiting to see if the HTML pasting feature will be added later this year, as indicated in one of the comments.
Hi all! I was able to upload raw html and css code into webstudio and looks great. One thing I want to do now is have every thing turn into elements I can now edit without having to refer to the code. Is this possible to do?
I’ve used Webflow in the past and have been able to bring in figma file and have it translate to the right elements which in the long run is scalable to make edits.
So this is a feature request to expect later this year?
I actually skipped webflow as it’s a brand new site and went from code direct to webstudio. If it’s expected later this year, then I can wait for that.
