Introduce Webstudio to Discourse users

Maybe it would pay off to get the attention of people using the Discourse forum software ?

I think they still recommend installing it in a subdomain, which suggests something else for the homepage.

And they could definitely need webstudio for proper design functionality.

And the API stuff should work with the forum right ?

The posts in the forum are using Markdown also.

Just a thought.

You are the first person suggesting to build a frontend with webstudio for discourse forum. I don't think this is a popular need.
I like to use Discourse as forum/community tool, but dont mind to use the current theme of Discourse.
The purpose behind my suggestion was marketing to the discourse community. Not a suggestion to do anything specific to the builder.
For this people from discourse community need to have the need for making a completely custom design ... I don't know if that need exists
its likely that they are fine with whatever optinos this software has built in for changing the theme
There is a plugin for wordpress, WP Discourse, suggesting that need.

Also Discourse can be used as a commenting system on external sites.

Discourse itself uses Ghost for their own blog.

But hey, no worries. I just really do not like the themes on Discourse.

Just a suggestion.

this plugin doesn't do any theming work, I haven't used it but it seems purely for for function, not for design
It is used for integration of comments on wordpress if you are using wordpress as your main site and discourse as a commenting engine or forum with integration for commenting on blog posts.

The point is that people are using wordpress as a kind of main site.

The plugin has a gutenberg comments block also.

What would you recommend for comments with webstudio ?
we use Ghost as a bloging engine over api, I think we would enable comments there if we wanted them, otherwise I don't have a suggestion, maybe @John Siciliano has
I am not talking about a complete redesign of the ux of the Discourse forum at all. More like Discourse users getting a good alternative for their main site.
Personally I really do not like the discourse ux at all. Not at all.
Yes, I know about that. I have mentioned it in this thread.

My suggestion is to point Discourse users to webstudio, also because of the api. It should also be easy to bind a discourse forum post or wiki to webstudio as a blog.

Nothing more really. Gain traction and support.
And Discourse is not just for comments. Discourse is more like this Discord we are using here. Divhunt is using Discourse for their support.

Discourse has live chat now. Just as Discord has a forumlike functionality now.
Why use ghost and Discord when you could just use Discourse ? Sure you have your reasons and they are not completely alike, I get that. Just saying....
Hmm, well if its just a matter of embedding a discourse widget, what are we supposed to do specifically?
Maybe read the original post again? Just get the attention of people using Discourse and sell/advertise/raise awareness about your product. That was the suggestion.
