Is It Worth Migrating from WordPress to Webstudio?

At a glance

The community member is considering migrating from WordPress to Webstudio and has concerns about backups and support. For support, the team states that they are a small team and can be contacted directly for billing and critical situations. The community members discuss the potential benefits of Webstudio being open-source and the team's passion for the project, expressing confidence in its future growth.

Is it worth migrating from WordPress to Webstudio?

First off, I must express my admiration for the launch of the new Webstudio CMS. It is, without a doubt, an incredible addition to Webstudio, and the flexibility it provides is quite something.

I'm considering transferring all my business/personal and clients' websites from WordPress to Webstudio, which would be an immense amount of work. Here are a couple of concerns I have (I will use the Webstudio Cloud Plan):
Backupsā€”Coming from WordPress and using Wpengine as costly hosting, I have daily backups to fall back on in case something happens (and with WordPress, something always happens). How does Webstudio handle backups?
Supportā€”This community on Discord seems to be all the Webstudio support. But what about when something related to billing or if one of my client's websites gets hacked (highly unlikely with Webstudio, but it happened to me so many times in WordPress that I'm skeptical)? Who do I contact for billing and critical situations?

Backups - every time you publish we create a version of the project data, so it exists but not available in the UI yet.
When you use CLI to sync data its all downloaded on your local machine, but we need to make it possible yet to upload it back/import.

This way it could be actual backup, but we haven't prioritized this yet.
But what about when something related to billing

Billing between your account and webstudio? or between you and your client? obviously you can contact us if its about our billing.
same thing, critical situations and billing is us, you can dm us or send us an email
we are a small team and we do what we can
Ooo the CLI is interesting. That makes making local backups quite easily. Then when importing feature is done I think that will suffice for most needs.
yeah, but also the fact that we do backups too and every time you publish there is a copy, we just need a UI for this
The good thing is Webstudio is open source. In case something happens to the original team at least the community can continue the project. You guys seems to be very passionate about Webstudio, so is basically a bet on your future. I'm confident Webstudio will be a big thing someday.
that's always the bet with new things
until they are old and established and nobody wants them lol
except of old people who grew up using them
