Issue with Publishing

At a glance

The community member is trying to connect their domain from GoDaddy to Webstudio, but is facing issues with the domain verification. The community members discuss various options, such as forwarding the root/apex to www and using the CNAME, or using Cloudflare's A record IP address. They also discuss the impact of changing nameservers on email, and the need to separate MX records from the apex. The community members suggest pointing the domain to Cloudflare and using it to set everything up, as it may have little to do with Webstudio itself. Webstudio provides a TXT record and a CNAME, which are the only things that need to be set correctly. The community member tries different approaches, including going back to GoDaddy's nameservers, but still faces issues with the TXT name conflicting with the CNAME name.

Useful resources
I am trying out Webstudio before I commit to moving my WF sites over. Fail at stage one, I used Entri to autoconnect my domain through GoDaddy and it's not working. Both records are n the DNS but it's showing is WS as not verified. All help appreciated. TIA

we have a guide for godaddy, some domain registrars like godaddy are not great to put it softly https://docs.webstudio.is/errors/domain-connection-issues-godaddy
you have 2 options, either forward root/apex to www and then use the cname or use cloudflare A record ip address so you ca register it in godaddy

Thank you, I wondered if it was something like this, but as it accepted the CNAME record I thought best not to mess! I will read through these ab=nd hopefully get ot sorted, Thank you again.
Does changing the Nameservers (Via Cloudflare) mess with emails? I always thought it did?
mx records should be separate from apex
you should be able to specify apex ip without chaning mx ips
Hi - sorry to be a pain -I set up Duckfugly through Coudflare but it's still not working. I used the root, I am probably missing something simple but would appreciate the help as I have a lot of sites to migrate! Thank you
The easierst way is probably: point your domai with everything to cloudflare. Then use cf to set everything up.

Unfortunately without taking over your accounts and debugging for you I don't see how we can help. It has basically very little to do with webstudio.
Webstudio provides a txt record and a cname. These are the only things that need to be set correctly for us.
Thnaks I appreciate that from using WF. That's what I have done, screenshot attached. On goDaddy it says it is using CF nameservers?

whats your domain again?

I have gone back to GoDaddy Nameservers. If I can't make this work I will just stay with WF - screen shot attached. GoDaddy say the TXT name conflicts with the CNAME Name
