Limitations when hosting a site on the cloud

At a glance

The community members are discussing the limitations and hosting options for a website builder. They determine that the website can be self-hosted, even if the builder is cloud-hosted. The cloud-hosted builder may have limitations on certain features like CMS integration, but the site can be exported and self-hosted. There is no explicit answer provided, but the community members work together to understand the options and limitations.

or, do I even need to? are the limitations just when you're hosting the site on the cloud?

Sites can be self hosted in production if that's what youre asking
The builder and sites are two different things btw
I mean do the cloud limitations apply to the site if it's exported and not used on the cloud
so I can use the online builder and selfhost the site?
can the online builder export the dynamic site?
@John Siciliano it seems the cloud hosted builder does not let me use the CMS integration and such, how can I download from the cloud builder and move to the locally hosted builder?
Yes per the pricing page CMS is a Pro feature. At this time there is no import/export for moving between different instances of the builder. There is an export from the builder to a project if you intend on self hosting the project you can just pay for the builder, export your site, then cancel
