The community member wants to display a mailto link without exposing it to scraping. Another community member suggests that using Cloudflare's Scrape Shield feature should automatically redact the email address when a bot crawls the site. A link to Cloudflare's documentation on email address obfuscation is provided, and other community members express appreciation for this solution. There is also a discussion about bypassing Cloudflare's IP blocking for an SEO scraper tool, with suggestions to check if the blocking is coming from Cloudflare or the web hosting provider, and to try using Cloudflare Trace to investigate further.
There are locations where I want to display a mailto link, but don't want to expose it to scraping. It would be nice if there were options to enable whatever methods are "best/current".
hahah I've just gone through every cloudflare setting for my own site so have a decent idea of what's out there. Cloudflare for SaaS basically provides the same tools we have for our own sites (and then some)
Any chance you'd know how to bypass some IPs then? I use a SEO scraper to track ranking, they are often blocked by Cloudflare. The SEO tool company has static IPs they say to add to Cloudflare but they don't have any instructions on what to do.
