The community member is having trouble redirecting traffic from www.sesaprojects.nl to sesaprojects.nl using Namecheap, as Cloudflare does not support .nl domains. The community members suggest pointing the nameservers to Cloudflare, connecting from Webstudio, and adding HTTPS and redirect rules in Cloudflare. The only thing handled in Namecheap would be the yearly domain fee. This approach is recommended as the ideal way to handle domains not supported by Cloudflare hosting.
I am having trouble redirecting traffic from www.sesaprojects.nl to sesaprojects.nl. I am using Namecheap because Cloudflare does not have .nl domains.
See photo 1 for redirects I had setup in Namecheap. See photo 2 for dns records in my Namecheap.
Inside Webstudio, I only have the staging domain and sesaprojects.nl
If I did not provide enough information, please let me know.
How Jeremy recommended is the ideal approach for all domains Point any / all domains to CF - they have alot better ways of handling DNS And only leave the billing with registrar (such as Namecheap)
Within CF you can do redirection + super easy auto connection to webstudio
It worked very smoothly. I had no downtime at all. And I think I am going to use more features of Cloudfare, like Zaraz. What a great platform. Thanks all.
