New project same domain

At a glance

The community member has "project 1" connected to the domain www.abc.com and has created "project 2" with the intention of using the same domain www.abc.com. They assumed they could simply change the CNAME/TXT record in Cloudflare to make the switch, but encountered an error when trying to verify the new site. After waiting 20 minutes and purging the Cloudflare cache, the issue was resolved, and the community member just needed to wait longer for the changes to take effect.

I have "project 1" connected to domain www.abc.com
I created "project 2" and want the domain to be www.abc.com (overriding the previous "project 1")

What's the process to make this switch?

I assumed I could just change the cname/txt record in cloudflare to the new one but am getting an error when trying to verify the new site. I waited 20 minutes before trying to verify. I purged my cloudflare cache hoping it would help, but it didn't.

did you delete that domain from project 1?

No. But it turns out I just needed to wait longer. Another 20 min did the trick. I jumped the gun, sorry guys.
