Page templates for content-mode

It would be great to have page templates for content editors. A bit like cms-collection pages in Webflow but without the cms. Content-editors would be able to add pages based on a predefined template (and content-blocks) and then change the content.

This way they would be able to create pages that follow the same basic structure (the same header and footer for example), but can be built out using content blocks.

The page template stays manageable in design mode though, so design changes there would apply to all pages based on it.

Content editors would have to get access to page settings to set the right page name, slug, search info etc.

Thanks for considering!

I think we can probably update most templates with content blocks, wdyt @John Siciliano ?
Wdym to existing templates?

I'm hearing from this request that they want a feature for a content editor to add a new page based on a template. Designer says heres a page template for an event then the editor can create a new page based on that template.

We discussed this before and wanted to do something like this IIRC
you are probably right, I misinterpreted this
created this issue https://github.com/webstudio-is/webstudio/issues/4931 Lets see how many ask for it, I think generally this is high value feature.
This would be a super useful feature!
Yes this would be great!
