I was wondering if you'd ever thought of offering a construction option suitable for people who have no knowledge of design.
With the end of Typedream, which was the only block-based site editor that rendered beautifully, I feel there's a gap.
Webstudio looks very powerful in terms of design. One of the barriers to Webflow or Websutdio is technical knowledge of web design.
Have you thought about trying to break down this barrier? After all, since the rules of design are well defined, isn't it possible to assist the novice designer and make his work easier, without preventing the technical designer from intervening and retaining all his freedom?
its a hard challenge, we are primarily building a tool for people who either already know how to design and now learn building or want to learn both and want to take on an advanced tool
we will be improving the experience over time here and there on many points, but generally, its not really meant for complete novices, especially not those who are not willing to learn
if you see specific things that you see how can be done easier to use without compromising power, then please feel free to open a separate thread per 1 feature and we can discuss specific things
for super simple stuff you can always use framer. I don't think you get anything more straightforward that that, and the learning curve is zero. Webstudio is better for flexibility that doesn't compromise on performance.
I've tested plasmic, webflow, framer, webstudio, teleportHQ, and whatnot... out of the bunch we got down to webstudio and framer. Webflow is just too damn annoying on pricing and learning curve, and the rest are just too incomplete in features.
the point is, you cannot have powerful features and not sacrifice ux in the process, or have great ux and not sacrifice flexibility and performance. Flexibility always means complexity.
