At a glance

The community member has published their first website on a custom domain and has the following questions:

1) Can they remove the wstd subdomain?

2) If not, will the wstd subdomain be bad for SEO and cause duplicate content issues?

3) Social image sharing only appears when sharing the wstd subdomain, not the custom domain. How can they fix this?

The community members discuss that the wstd subdomain is a stage before release and is mandatory excluded from indexing. They also note that the issue with social image sharing is "weird" and suggest the community member share the link to their domain.

After the community member shares the domain https://efg-geobio.fr, they test the social sharing and find that the open graph tags are present, but the image took a while to load. The community members suggest the issue may be with the specific SVG image used, and the community member later changes it to a JPG instead.

There is no explicitly marked answer in the comments.

You can consider wstd as stage before release. It is mandatory excluded from indexing. About 3 this is weird. Could you share a link to your domain?
which social sharing did you test?
I mean, when i shared here my previous sites, we saw the picture. When i shared this new site with its custom link, we didn't see any image.
Well if you don't tell which social network I am supposed to test ...

Are open graph tags there?
though the link with image took a minute to load
if tags are there then there is no bug on our side, must be something off with that image used
maybe open graph doesn't like an svg?
or this particular svg
ok, i've changed and put a jpg instead πŸ™‚
