Radix primitives upgrade with 0.176.0 release

At a glance

The community members are discussing the possibility of adding a feature to Webstudio that would allow users to see if there are upgrades available for the Radix primitives or other components they are using in their designs. Some community members suggest it would be technically feasible to show the version of each component and indicate if a newer version is available. There is also a discussion around how to handle the migration of customized components to newer versions. The comments indicate that when a website is republished, the Radix dependencies will be updated to the newest version.

I noticed that Radix primitives got an upgrade with the 0.176.0 release (issue #3808).

That got me wondering: With Radix and with future component systems in Webstudio, do you think there might be a path for users to learn in the UI whether there's an upgrade available for a component/primitive that they're currently using in a design?

Perhaps even a way to upgrade them with a click.

it would be possible to show the version for each component and if there is a newer one, tecnically its not that hard
that would be cool. Some components (nav for example) might have a large amount of customization (tokens, resources, slots). I wonder if there would be a way to easily transfer that to a newer version of the component
In such case of primitive updates, does existing WS sites (already deployed) get the update immediately?
Only when you publish
Right now you are getting newest component version when you open builder
So if I republish an existing website then Radix dependencies will get updated, right?
