Reactiveness in custom components?

At a glance

The community member is looking to add more advanced functionality to a page in Webstudio, which is already running on React. They are considering using Vue.js, but are wondering if there is another way to do this without an extra framework. The comments indicate that currently the only way to change variable values is through form or link navigation, but the Webstudio team is planning to add more ways to do this in the future. The community member also mentions a tool called Wized from Finsweet and asks if something similar could be implemented in Webstudio, to which the Webstudio team responds that they are planning something similar based on a new invokers API.

I would like to create some functionality on a page that is a little bit more advanced. I can include Vuejs on the page and create some more reactiveness with that in an HTML embed with HTML and scripting for Vuejs, but since Webstudio is already running on React, is there perhaps another way to do this, without the need for an extra framework? I've been searching, but can't really find any resources about doing some more advanced stuff with Webstudio.

For now the only way to change variable values is to use form or links navigation to update search params which will appear in system.search.
In the future we will add more ways
Alright, no problem, I'll just use Vuejs for now. Thanks!
Have you looked at Wized from Finsweet? Would be very nice if we could do something like that in Webstudio.
Yeah, we are planning something similar
Based on new invokers api
