Removing live domain from one project and attaching to another

At a glance
The community member was having issues with their domain after moving it from a splash page project to a website project. They were seeing a "Worker not found" error and a message saying "custom hostname does not CNAME to this zone." The community members suggested trying to republish the project, checking the DNS records, and using "www" in the CNAME record, which ultimately fixed the issue.
Today I've removed our live domain from our splash page project and connected it to the website project by adding the txt record but I see the CNAME record is identical. After an hour or so, we have this message on the live domain: Worker not found, read more. and the domain shows "custom hostname does not CNAME to this zone." Is this just a propagation issue, so I assume we just have to wait a few hours?

Try publishing the project again.

I think you just need to update the TXT record and publish
I did try that a few hours ago, stil the same.
what does the publish dialog show if you click check status?
I've done this twice and both times they are instant.

While DNS propagates, the old site works. As soon as the DNS propagates, new site works
"custom hostname does not CNAME to this zone."
can you screenshot the dialog and share your domian
This was working when attached to the splash page project, all I did was removed that connection and then added the domain xixlabs.ai to this project.

So I have not changed the domain's CNAME entry in GoDaddy, only replaced the old TXT entry with the new one.
shouldnt it be www if you are using godaddy?
it must have been that on the old site on webstudio
It was without the www before
godaddy doesnt allow cname to the root
check your dns record in godaddy (the cname one)
in webstudio you need to add www as well
yes in Godaddy it is www
That fixed it, thanks
