Slider / Carousel component

At a glance

A community member is looking for an accessible and customizable slider component to use in their Webstudio projects. They are currently using Splide JS, which they find to be the most accessible and lightweight option with many customization options. However, they would prefer if a similar component was baked into Webstudio to save time on setting up the necessary class names and overriding Splide's built-in styles.

Other community members agree that there should be a configurable slider component, with one suggesting Swiper JS as a fantastic option. Another community member notes that there is a whole list of components that still need to be created for the Webstudio platform.

One community member plans to provide templates for both Splide JS and Swiper JS for the community to use.

I'd love to have an accessible slider component I could use in my Webstudio projects.

At the moment, I'm using Splide JS as it's the most accessible slider I could find, lightweight, and has lots of customisation options (e.g. can display multiple slides at once; can change the slider settings at different breakpoints; can customise the appearance of the next / prev buttons and pagination dots).

It would save me a lot of time if something similar was baked into Webstudio. This is because using Splide involves setting several Class Names on elements, and involves writing custom code to override Splide's built-in styles using more specific selectors.

Thanks!

I just thought about the same thing. There should be a component that can be configured accordingly. Swiper JS, for example, is fantastic and can be configured almost infinitely.
In my mind, there is, however, a whole list of components that still need to be created. 😁
I'll do a template for both splide JS and swiper JS for the community next
