Strong Indicator of Slot

At a glance

I often mess up modifying a slot not knowing its a slot and my undo doesn't go back far enough to fix it.

I would love to see a strong indicator that I'm working in a slot. Maybe outline the parent/self indicating it's a slot in the editor.

IMO the icon in the navigator or the little toolbar at the bottom is not enough. I've messed up too many times lol.

We will replace slots with design components eventually

Excited for this! But would imagine it's far enough out that I'm going to continue to mess up for the foreseeable future lol.

If it's a quick win and others feel this way maybe it's worth it. Or maybe a community member can contribute if it's easy

should this outline be green like in webflow?

I think that would would work. If components and slots would ever coexist then id say slots should be like red or something

But honestly if this takes away from CMS please pretend I never said anything. Too eager for CMS 😍

Actually great idea to start using a different outline color on slots already in preparation for it to turn into a component
