Styling Notion Pages with Webstudio

At a glance

The community members discuss the possibility of creating a website from Notion pages and styling it with Webstudio. The consensus is that this is not currently possible due to issues with the Notion API. One community member suggests that the issues should be documented in GitHub issues so that someone may decide to create a backend to solve the problems. Another community member provides a link to the Webstudio documentation, which states that Notion pages are not supported, only Notion databases. The community members agree that this is a work for a separate backend and that Webstudio is not a backend.

Hi great guys! πŸ™‚ Hey do you think it would be possible to make a site from Notion pages and style it with Webstudio?

No. Notion api is pretty bad, there are tons of issues to make it work. For now notion is only for databases
@John Siciliano please put all the knowledge about it into an issue so we can link to it when people ask
I know we had multiple threads, but its hard to find and hard to link
Hi, Oleg! πŸ™‚ You mean "No" forever, or "No" this year?
Somewhere I read that Notion pages will will not work with Webstudio "for now". That's why I ask you again.
Well anything I say no is no for now
its not like we won't revisit it some day but its not gonna come this year for sure
Unless someone creates an API endpoint that will fix all the issues with notion's api and provides a nice way to integrate with them.
In that case anyone can do it, we don't have to be the one doing it
We have all the primitives required for a nice API to integrate with.
Honestly this is a work for a separate backend and webstudio is not a backend.
Thanks for explaining Oleg πŸ™‚
we do need to document all the issuees so someone can have an easier way to learn from that and create it
Probably, but we need issues and put it into the issue and link it, so we have a collaborative place for all these issues, so someone may decide to create a backend for this and solve the issues
docs is not a place to discuss issues that are pretty-much in-flight
Imagine someone would want to work on it and theey would need to know all the technical details that are missing for the support.
Done. What was in my head is now in GitHub issues with Platform - in the title and type:research if you want to find them
jfyi i added a known issues column to the cms table in docs and linked them there
