Technical Considerations: Transferring Webflow Projects and Relume Templates to Webstudio
At a glance
The post asks if it is possible to copy a Webflow project or Relume templates into Webstudio. The community members discuss that a complete project migration from Webflow to Webstudio is unlikely to work due to differences in features like CMS and animations. However, they mention that copying components may be possible at a later stage, but currently there are limitations like the lack of a grid system used in Relume.
The community members suggest that there will be a path for migration from Webflow to Webstudio, such as migrating the CMS to a different CMS and copying most components, but a simple one-click migration is very difficult to achieve. They also discuss using Azure SQL for data and OAuth, designing in Webstudio, and developing in Visual Studio or VSCode with Typescript. The community members recommend exploring the CIQ library from the Webstudio marketplace and using a service like Supabase or the Azure SQL HTTP API for the database integration.
i actually have several.... so i wil start with technical, 1. can i copy a current webflow project inot web studio. 2. can i copy relume templates into webstudio
copying components will work at a later stage, currently we are missing grid, which is used a lot in relume, which is why even if add copy right now, you won't be able to copy all of them
there will be a path for migratino from webflow to webstudio to some degree, e.g. migrate CMS to different CMS, copy most of the components from weblow etc
so i am actually looking at your lifetime tier (at least 1). but i need the relume copy (components not project is fine). also i have an existing webflow I do not want to redo. i like the 1M page views and multiple sites. but i will be using azure SQL for data and OAuth. i would be designing in Webstudio, developing in either Visual Studio or VSCode and typescript. currently, i am as fast with the VSCode than i am with webflow but i am just learning (about a week and a half). but the hosting of all this is a bit challenging.
when do you anticipate 'later stage' will occur. as i said my workflow is using sql server so thousands of data items which will probably not work for CMS
@John Ope from CIQ Libraries is working on the free verrsion as well as on a more advanced pro version, maybe you guys can collaborate, I am sure John can add any section component you may need
