You cannot use dynamic paths on free tier
Just delete the page or change its path and publish will work again
We just rolled out a change that checks that pro features are not used when trying to publish. Reason is that you were able to copy everything that is pro-graded features into a free plan and use it. Now this is being checked. You have a usage of a dynamic path which is part of the CMS feature in Pro.
Thank you for informing me about the cause of this issue. I tried changing the path as Bogdan suggested, but it didn’t work. Should I delete everything I’ve done so far and start over? If there’s another solution, what would it be?
did you check all your pages?
pls share your project link, we need to see if you checked all pages and none have a dynamic path
I had never used dynamic paths before. Today, out of curiosity, I tried replacing 'slug' with the name of the post, and I could no longer use the publish function.
please open your page settings like on screenshot above and delete the dynamic part :slug or whatever is used there
oh you can't delete a dynamic path that already exists, got it, this is an oversight, hold on, we will fix it and let you know
question: how hard is it for you to recreate the page and copy contents over?
It happening in both of the pages I'm building. The blog and home page. Is it because I'm using my own domain?
no, its because blog is cms
you probably cloned a blog template
if you are planing on using the blog functionality via api you will need pro plan
Hey, Oleg, for now, I’m building this small project as an excuse to learn WS. Later, I will get the Pro plan. I just created another page and copied/pasted the content to it, but it still won’t let me use "publish" on the new page.
Did you try to delete /:slug in the path? I just did that in my project without pro and it worked
I don't see it in the video
Well, the error is clear. Path cannot be empty
I copied the content from the old page to the new page but did not delete the old one because I cannot save/publish the new page.
So, there seems to be misunderstanding, you are deleting the entire path instead of just deleting the dynamic part of it.
you can delete the ":slug" and keep the rest
God. You got us worried here.
Thank you guys. You rock!!!
