Unable to uncheck custom domain to publish only to test domain

At a glance

The community member posted their new website to Cloudflare and a custom domain. They made changes to the site, but accidentally broke the first page. To fix this, they started over with a new template. However, they encountered an issue where they could not publish changes to only the test domain first, as the publish window showed both the test domain and custom domain checked and unchecking was not possible. A community member responded that in the free tier, only one custom domain is allowed and publishing to a staging environment is a pro feature.

I posted my new website to cloudflare and a custom domain.
I made changes to the site in webstudio and published a second page but didn't realize I had broken page 1. (complete noob)
Got it good enough for all but mobile and published again, but best way to fix was to start over with the template.
Created a new project, went to publish but couldn't... only one custom domain in Free.
Removed domain and applied it to new project.
Now the problem....
I cannot seem to publish any new changes to only the test domain first. The above was a hard lesson, so I really want to.
The publish window is showing the test domain and my custom domain with both boxes checked and I cannot uncheck.
Any way to fix this?
Thanks so much for any help!!

I don't totally follow but if you're in the free tier you are allowed 1 custom domain and you can't publish to only staging (pro feature)
Gotcha... Thank you very much John!
