The community members are discussing the possibility of having a feature similar to Webflow's "variable modes" in their own platform, potentially for Tokens or Root variables. Some community members note that their platform, Webstudio, has had responsive variables and breakpoint support since the beginning, and that the "variable mode" terminology is borrowed from Figma to make the transition easier for designers. They also mention that their platform makes it more designer-friendly compared to developers handling "modes" or "breakpoints" directly.
I know this might be seem like praising the competition but check this out: https://webflow.com/updates/variable-modes Do you think we can have something like this for Tokens or Root variables?
Bogdan and Oleg, you are absolutely 100% right. Webstudio has had this feature from the start, and while developers easily handle modes oops, breakpoints π webflow makes it super designer friendly. with so many no-code designers around, its no surprise they stick to terms like figma modes to make the transition smoother. my LinkedIn is buzzing with posts about webflow game-changing variables and Big News! I'm eagerly waiting for Webstudio token manager and component editor to launch so I can share their game-changing features on LinkedIn too. ππ
