A community member suggested integrating Webstudio and Coolify, as the Coolify founder has already contributed to Webstudio. The comments discuss the current limitations of the Webstudio Docker container, such as not being ready for publishing and the need for additional services like an image resizer. Another community member hopes Webstudio can get enterprise sponsors, especially once the Docker image is ready, and believes providers like Hetzner may sponsor Webstudio if users start using the Docker image. However, another community member questions the claim about Hetzner sponsoring projects. The comments also mention Coolify's model of being a "business incubator" for open-source SaaS tools, and the potential benefits of a Webstudio-Coolify integration. The community members discuss the viability of sponsorships and the solo nature of the Webstudio project.
I just suggested Webstudio to a very nice tool I use (Coolify) and just figured out the founder already contributed to Webstudio project. Since there's a connection between you guys, why not do a native integration? Coolify and Webstudio can create amazing results together.
Thanks @Oleg Isonen, just want to let you know the last newsletter was amazing it's professional idea to share the ~3 months of updates to users.
I will keep an eye on the issue and will share it in the right places when it becomes available. π€ I hope WS get Enterprise sponsors ASAP. I believe that once the Docker image is done and we users start creating tutorials on self host and share it with communities like Hetzner, people will start using the image. Consequently, Enterprise sponsors like Hetzner will come automatically as they keep an eye on the Docker image pull numbers of their clients, and so on for others. GLWS
And if you track archive.org for his page 80% other sponsors in the list came after the hetzner logo appears π believe me hetzner run by power of community if their users start using something hetzner will sponsor it to invite more people as way of marketing...
Even hetzner pay us the users who create any tutorials about 50 Euro for each tutorial and all our cloud servers for testing and demos are 100% free also covered by our links in tutorials
Coolify is alternative to something, and WS alternative to something. Coolify already their model is to be like a Business incubator where all Opensource useful SaaS came to their templates list but i thought if he already contributed with your project maybe you can make connection with him to make webstudio projects exported directly to his native feature (Static Sites)
In this links, Coolify will get their users new nice thing to build static websites, webstudio will get their benefits too, and hetzner or any other provider will get it benefits too. hetzner is the best right, but your options will be more than them in future depending on the users where they will host their stuff and which provider will catch the WS sponsor page.
