Will the Hall bot be present in every post in the #random channel?
At a glance
The post expresses concern about the Hall bot being used to respond to every post, finding it intrusive for the #︳random channel. In the comments, a community member explains that the Hall bot is currently set to respond to all posts, but they are open to limiting it to the #︳help channel only. However, they suggest that the community may need to clean up and reduce the number of channels, as there are too many and posts are often made in the wrong channel. Another community member agrees, stating that new channels should only be created when there is sufficient traffic or organizational need, and that the WebStudio community is still in its early stages, so the number of active channels may not be necessary at this time.
Will we have the Hall bot answering everytime we post something somewhere? I find it a bit intrusive for a channel like #︳random ˆˆ. cc @John Siciliano 👀
I'm down to make it only on #︳help , but I think in order to do that we need to cleanup our channels.
IMO there are too many and I'm in here every day.
I think there will always be posting in the wrong channel, but I don't think we are helping ourselves with how many we have. Attached is Tinas which I think is very easy to navigate.
Really true. My experience pushed me to only open new channels or forums when it's relevant only (like enough traffic or organizationnal needs). Else, there is no need for channel "placeholders" if I can say.
WebStudio community is at it's early stage - I'm really proud to be part of it even if I'm not much active - so the community will continue to grow. As of today, here at least, it still little active.
While talking about this Discord, I appreciate really much all that kindness you provide as WebStudio team. Thank you so much for welcoming our feedbacks and questions!
