The post shares a link to rapid progress on a project, and the comments show that community members are excited about it, with one saying it's "the most exciting thing since CMS" and making building "10x better". Community members are also discussing creating an official design system with standard naming conventions, and are interested in participating. They mention the upcoming launch of CSS variables and how that will change the game for template creation. Some community members suggest looking at existing frameworks like CoreFramework or ACSS for WordPress as inspiration. There is also a link shared to a Discord thread for further discussion on the design system proposal.
do you want to help with creating an official design system? basically we as a community need to come up with the standard naming conventions and will have an official recommended way of doing things. I'm going to put together a proposal/ things that need to be discussed and would like to hear your thoughts
I'd love to get a standardized system out with the launch of CSS variables, but we may need to classify it as "alpha" or something so we can adapt as needs arise
Yeahhh ! I think CSS Variables are gonna change the game. It will be more professional to make templates. I've got some idea and a lot of motivation to have more content on Webstudio!!
Totally! Right now when I make templates I add zero tokens and minimal styles because we all use different ones but once we have a standard system with vars we can add tokens and when inserting them in your own project, they'll adapt to your projects styles
