General project settings

At a glance

The community member explains that Webstudio project thumbnails are typically grabbed from the image on the index page, but this feature does not work if the project is "Include[d] in marketplace". The community member suggests that adding a thumbnail feature to the project settings could improve the experience. Another community member confirms that the thumbnail in the dashboard does not show up when the project is published to the marketplace, and the original community member agrees, suggesting that setting the thumbnail in the project settings could be a solution.

When it comes to Webstudio project thumbnails to my knowledge it grabs it from the image of the index page. This feature just doesn't work if you select "Include in marketplace". General project settings in the area I provided with the screenshot could go a long way improving the experience. While I am aware there are project settings when you select the project, they do not include setting a project thumbnail. Maybe just adding the thumbnail feature into that section could help but I digress.

Are you saying that the thumb in dashboard doesn't work when project is published to the marketplace?
I think I need a step by step to understand the issue
Yes. I am speaking of the thumbnail visible in the dashboard. If you select "Include in marketplace" on the index page settings the image does not show up and I was suggesting instead you can set the thumbnail in project settings.
